She has a nurse for whom she is the sole responsiblity, and a perfusionist whose job it is to monitor her ECMO machine. The nurses change shifts every 12 hours, and the perfusionsts rotate every 8 hours. Since they are constantly in the room with us, we have gotten to know most of them quite well.
