Contact Us

We are not trying to offend, but to make things easier on everyone, PLEASE...

  • DO contact us well BEFORE you plan to arrive to visit, and have a confirmed time/place to meet us.  We don't have a "home" during the day (can only stay at Ronald McDonald House at night and for naps) and we are trying to catch various doctors for updates, etc, so we are hard to reach.  Since we cannot use cell phones in the hospital or RMH, you can leave a message on them or email us (will be checked at least once a day).
  • DO consider donating at a Gulf Coast Regional Center (when we have her account set up, we will add a page to this website with more information).  She has gone through many, many units of human so far, and will continue to go through more.
  • DO feel free to bring food (hot meals or snacks) when you visit.  These are very much appreciated. :)
  • Most importanly, DO keep us in your prayers and thoughts.  We love hearing from you, and want you to feel free to call, email, and visit, but have to make these difficult requests for the health of our daughter, and to simplify our stay and burdens while we are here.

  • DON'T send/bring flowers, stuffed animals, clothes for Theresa, etc.  Again, we don't have a "home" or place to leave them during the day, and they will not allow anything to be placed in her bassinet (too many machines and wires in the way).  She is not wearing clothing (not even socks or bows).  We completely appreciated the flowers that were sent and enjoyed while we were still staying in the hospital, but since we were discharged yesterday, those have had to go home.
  • DON'T visit if you are currently ill, or have been ill, espcially with a fever or respiratory illness.  She is very fragile, and we don't want to be exposed to anything that would limit our time with her.
  • DON'T call the house at early/late hours.  Nathaniel is being cared for at our home, so there are people living there.  Currently, my grandmother and mother are there.  They will probably answer the phone and take a message.  They can get messages to us as we check-in with them throughout the day.
  • When visiting Theresa, please DON'T touch her, or take photos with a flash camera.  She is on the least amount of sedatives and paralizing drugs we could talk the doctors into, and each time she is stimulated, she will move, and risks disturbing her ventilator, tubes, and cannulas.

Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers!
