June 1, 2005:  Joyce (the therapist) also noticed how much happier Theresa seemed.  She is getting better and better at tolerating tummy time, though she still can't lift her head or turn it while on her stomach.

June 3, 2005:  Theresa had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Cass today (he is finally back from one conference, but will soon leave toanother!).  Her scar looks good, and so I can stop the wet/dry dressings and just put ointment on it.

Her weight is 14 lbs 9 oz.

Tim picked up his family from the airport today.  Theresa's Baptismal ceremony will be tomorrow (she was officially baptized in the hospital, but this will allow us to "supply the ceremony" in the church.)

And, today is our 5th wedding anniversary, so Happy Anniversary Tim! :)

June 4, 2005:  A very busy day!  Theresa had her Baptism this evening, and afterwards we had several very special people in our lives over for a barbeque dinner (including one of her surgeons!)  We had a great time, and I think that Theresa enjoyed the attention!

June 16, 2005:  After a lot of thought, we started Thresa on vegetables today, even though she is only 5 months old (I waited until 6 months before Nathaniel even started cereal because I have so many food allergies myself)  Our hope is that she will enjoy a "good" taste in her mouth and perhaps start to eat by mouth.  We started green beans, and she did not like them at all!  We will finish our round of beans, and then go to a more pleasant tasting veggie. :)

June 19, 2005:  Happy Father's Day!  To Tim, our dads, my grandfathers, and all the dads reading this:  have a very happy Father's Day!  Whether or not your child is on Earth, or in Heaven, you are a father.

June 20, 2005:  Green beans are done, so we started squash today.  Much better, but she still only tolerates it.  She won't readily open her mouth for them, but she doesn't cry or anything.  The most we can get her to eat is a baby spoonful over a few minutes (of spitting out, scraping back in, etc)

June 23, 2005:  We went in for a weight check at Dr. Ingrahams and her weight was 15 lbs 5 oz.  Length was around 25 1/2 inches, and her head circumference was 44 centimeters.  I charted this, and noticed that her head circumference has rapidly jumped "curves" and is now in the 95% so I called her pediatrician back (the nurse was the one who measured it, we never actually saw the doctor).  She seemed concerned, but not overly, so she had us make an appointment for Monday.  She had me feel her soft spot to see if it was bulging (it isn't) and check her eyes to see if she can track (she can.)  So, we just have to wait to see her.  In the meantime, though, I am freaking out as to what it could be!  Since her ventricles of her brain were enlarged before and after birth, we already had a follow-up brain MRI scheduled for late July, but now Tim wants it moved up.

June 25, 2005:  We went against the pattern of green/yellow/green/yellow and decided to jump to Nathaniel's favorite (and mine!) of sweet potatoes.  So far, she has enjoyed these the most, but she still won't swallow on her own and will fill up her cheeks and then spit it out unless we stroke her throat to make her swallow (which she then will gag on most of the time)  Even though it isn't easy, she still doesn't cry or get mad, and we can get a heaping baby spoonful down in a few minutes now.

June 27, 2005:  Dr. Ingraham checked her and nothing appeared wrong, but she called Dr. Cass' office to have them move up the MRI (since she can't admit to TCH).  They got one for this Wednesday.

June 28, 2005:  The radiology department called today, and took down Theresa's (extensive!) medical history.  Then, they informed me that she cannot have her MRI tomorrow because with her history, they don't feel comfortable doing it without an actual anesthesiologist (they usually give them a little sedative via a breathing mask to keep them still, but since she doesn't have much in the way of lungs, they want a doctor to administer IV drugs)  We are very disappointed, because all they have is an appointment for 3 weeks from now!! That isn't much earlier than the once we already had scheduled for late July.   And, this is with listing her as a priority! They will call us with any last minute openings though.

June 30, 2005:  Yea!!!  The radiology department called and can get us in on Tuesday!
